NO LITERALLY also I'll add onto u bc idk if ppl realize this but it is LITERALLY NOT A BL on official sites (in jp) it is listed as a drama fantasy story. in Japan stories where the main focus of the story is the romantic (and/or sexual) relationship between two men are bls, this is not that it's crazy bc it shows how ass media literacy is these days bc the focus of this story in particular is not on the romantic relationship between the two mcs. yes, a main focus of the story is on the two male mcs relationship, but their (possible) romantic relationship is not the focus of this story, hence why it is not a bl. like seriously do y'all call something like heart stopper bl just bc the two mcs are in a gay relationship together smh

many of you guys dont realize how erotic and sensual vampirism as a whole is. biting and “turning” someone in general can be symbolism of power, abuse, or all consuming love. in other context, like romantic, drinking someone’s blood or making them into a vampire is also an allegory for consent and in general just sex?? im finding a lot of enjoyment in this story because it flips the script on the classic power dynamics between humans and vampires. yamadera is the one who holds the leash, yet a dominating predator like sayo is showing this human “monster” what it means to live and also have someone unconditionally love and care for you. you guys are undermining and undervaluing this story so much just because it’s not outwardly telling you they confessed, got married, and showed explicit anal . when it’s shown several times how much these men both mean to each other, yet they’re trying to work out their own clashing philosophies and trauma
