i never said misogyny wasn’t an issue with commenters in my og comment either… i agree there’s people genuinely hating on her because she’s a girl existing and they infantilized their male fav characters (haven’t engaged it’s obvious bait and idiocy). but there’s a difference between calling any and all criticism misogyny vs most of the critiques have validity. my post wasn’t even directed towards that itself, so that idiot was arguing a completely separate issue. there was no point talking when they weren’t even trying to think critically or have any self awareness

went back to read both exchanges more than i looked at my own assignments, and tbh i agree with yours more. personally i didn't go check much of the others when i saw all the people talking about "why are so and so comment blah blah" all over the first page, it looked exhausting, but like you said, or what o took from it, despite her being bashed by misogynistic comments, those shouldn't be lumped up with the criticism and people sharing their own stories of being in similar situations..

saying all of the hate = misogyny was really untrue. people also fail to realize readers will hate any ex, no matter the gender, since they have attachments to an mc. her actions can be hated and that’s okay?? but people weren’t making up things about her or creating a narrative to justify their dislike
