This is a good analyzation.
I feel she is been truthful on how this would be. We all expected redemption because Dan left but that would have been the easy route.
No way would JK have mature and ask for forgiveness just because Dan left. Let’s remember that JK is surrounded by people who do whatever he asks so he is a very confuse state of wtf because Dan is not catering to him and that is a very important thing. He is not use to people up and leaving him add to that turmoil his sexual attraction mix with his attraction to Dan.
At this moment his state of mind is a mess.
Angry because he is upset Dan left. Angry because Dan doesn’t want him. Angry because he is having emotional reactions he has never felt. He is a big emotional immature person. And when there is things you don’t understand your first reaction is anger cause you are confuse.
Idk how author will redeem him but this is intriguing me. Though I will let it boil for a bit lol

this is exactly what I was thinking! Jk never matured emotionally plus all his sexual partners were willing because of how famous and handsome he is and he pretty much assumed Dan was the same. So it’s expected for him to be this confused especially with Dan finally voicing out clear rejection for JK

Exactly! I mean he is explicitly known for being a horrible person and people still flock to him.
So when he got subconsciously invested in someone and then that someone drops him…that literally shook his whole world. HIS MIND IN IN A CONSTANT STATE OF CONFUSING hence his anger.
(let’s also remember he got interested in Dan because he was the first person that refused his sexual advances)
i think the mood or the tension mingwa wants to set us here is not love, joy, and all, and no, the author is not romanticizing forced intimacy unto someone
instead it portrays the dichotomy between perplexion in love and intimacy with attraction, as we face probably half the same thing, believe it or not, many people under fubu are on the same boat
this is how wretched state of attraction grows to people who are not accustomed on receiving and discovering love
but i guess, mingwa did a great job steering our emotions here, which is rage and pure anger
just my hypotheses ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ
