I guess I’m misogynistic for calling a lady a slut, a man a manwhore. We all say hurtful things. But people tend to forget the true meaning of misogyny, it’s literally the hatred of women. MC just isn’t interested in them, but he was an asshole. But clearly he knew he shouldn’t have said that and in ch 1, states he went a bit too far with that. But I understand that slut has a negative meaning towards women, but still, too far.

we're all harping on him but it's clear she forced him into a relationship and then tried to have sex with him even though he had 0 desire to. and when he cant get it up and wants to stop/leave, she shames him ? like, being called a slut is the least offensive thing he could have called her there imo

Idk about forcing since MC didn’t verbally express about ending things, and did it the wrong way. But she definitely forced herself into the relationship, she knew he wasn’t interested. It doesn’t take much to know that either. So it’s low-key on her for staying, thinking she could change things up.

The only issue with MC is that he goes with things and doesn’t try, but I don’t think he’s misogynistic. That’s a big word there.

Calling a woman a slut is misogynistic. You don't have to say you want to rape all women to be misogynistic. It's derogatory towards women and meant to shame them for wanting/liking sex. Face it, it is misogyny. He apologizes yes but it's misogyny. I can't imagine the hoops y'all jump through to excuse disrespect towards women and talk about some "true misogyny" girl stand up

Misogyny is hatred of women. There’s a lot to talk in people calling someone a misogynist. Nobody said there has to be rape towards women for it to be misogyny. Yes, it is derogatory, but it doesn’t make someone a misogynist. I’ve seen women shame other women and calling them “bitches”, “sluts”, so I wouldn’t be biased against men doing that as well.

This is 2025, I’ve seen even little kids call others bitches; a female dog without even thinking about the context and history/derogatory towards women. You act like MC is the worst piece of shit for saying SLUT.
    MAN whore?

Sure he was disgusting about it, but he apologized. If you don’t like what I said, I’m sorry but these are my personal opinions.

And don’t get me wrong, I agree that nobody should be calling others SLUT. MC was totally in the wrong, but to claim he’s misogynist when he simply is an asshole with frustration from being asked for sex probably many times, is a bit too far.

I doubt he hates women is what I’m trying to say. He may not like them romantically is all.I doubt it because after he left Yuri, he thought that he may have went too far.

I promise, no misogynist would tear up and apologize to a woman. I know better than to expect that from men.

Sorry for the long replies. One more lol.
We can agree to disagree. I’ll respect your opinion, and I’ll leave mine be.

Women can be misogynistic too. You saying you've seen other women say it too ain't an argument. And sorry I'm not reading three long paragraphs. End of.

Also I never said he was the worst piece of shit. It is still misogyny, no matter how little. Misogyny isn't just hatred. It's also ignorance, disrespect. I suggest you read some books. Google can help ya out. I'm aware these are your opinions, I came to tell you they were wrong. Bye now

Oh alright, someone’s immediately a misogynist for saying that. I must hate myself, thanks for the input.

I didn’t say that you said it, I said you acted like he was. Misogyny’s literal definition is hate towards women, so yeah. Not all women are internalized misogynist for calling each other bitches or sluts or calling a man the same. Have a good day, Lulovesblue.

Forgot to mention, I just believe that people (including women) use derogatory language out of frustration, and that doesn’t always mean they actively hate women or themselves. They know those insults from somewhere or someone. However, I understand frustration doesn’t erase the misogynistic nature of certain insults.

I just wouldn’t say they hate women immediately because of that one word. Was it wrong to say? Yes.

    Huaran February 15, 2025 10:56 am

I may have been confused with Luloveblue. In my perspective, while the insult itself is misogynistic in nature, it doesn’t = the character is a misogynist. Instead, his reaction seems more like frustration and internal conflict (feeling the need to hide that he’s gay + his father childhood) rather than belief in controlling or demeaning women.

I apologize for the long replies and arguing over this. I agree that the word he used has misogynistic nature.
