hmm. I don't know who you are responding to specifically. I am not a huge fan of the jiwoo/jiyoung romance but that is mostly becasue she didn't have as great of a character arc, not becasue she is female. I love the gestella romance for example, and i don't mind the dog girl who had a crush on jiwoo. jiyoung seems very detached from jiwoo's social circles. I wouldn't have been surprized if she was 10 yrs older, and that gap maks the romance fell a litle forced whenever it comes up. not big deal though? the romance is such a minor part of the story it doesn't take away from anything.
Exactly like u said, it's not a big deal but people always complains about, like the chapter is focus on their romance when it isn't, and it usually isn't. The story is still getting told, which is focus on the MC obviously jiwoo, y'all don't want romance but expects a development in the romance, huh??? none of the girls except subin had any character development, but jiyoung is expected to have one [which is most likely gonna happen but again this is jiwoo's story]. Also I never said it was bc she's a woman I'm saying the delulus even in the beginning of this manhwa always ship jiwoo with jisuk or kayden [hell the top comment is literally wishing this was bl] when they obviously didn't have romantic feelings for each other but when it's jiyoung they're always like I don't see it, its dumb af.
Also the ship has been happening for the longest time idk what y'all been reading cause if jiyoung is a guy you'd immediately ship these 2. Like ok u don't like romance in action but we should've pass this by now yet every chapter they show up y'all still complaining, let it go
