I dont care about they getting married. I don't think it was forced and I don't think they will focus on this either. Even they being teacher and student, they don't have a gap age and spent 7 year without romantic interaction, and even now their romance don't play a big role. Plus, I'm happy for her, she is already old for this era standard, and could find a nice husband that will allow her to work with something she likes, same for him getting support for his wife. All students will leave his side someday, but his wife will stay and help him with work.
