So I googled around a bit and learnt this:
There is a wad that's in the tip of the casing of a blank to hold the gunpowder in the bullet. That little wad flies out of the muzzle when a blank is fired. It's low weight so it slows down quickly in the air, but at close range it can kill. Or if there's anything stuck in the barrel, as was the case with Brandon Lee in The Crow, that obstruction is now the bullet with a fireball behind it from the blank.
ok but who in their right mind would bring a real gun instead of a prop in a shooting THAT USES GUNS?
either way, unless he was schemed against or purely coincidence, I'm still looking forward to the clearly red-flag long-hair guy lol
