IIRC in lore of this book its VERY common for males to be alpha?
Like first chapter mentions it, although it doesn't even mention betas much?? Their probably what everyone is as a minor. It says something like when they turn 18 males will be alphas and females will be omegas.
So in the world its rare for Omega males to exist. ++ Iirc apparently in this world its IMPOSSIBLE for alpha x alpha or omega x omega to exist, since they literally can't fall in love.
Which could explain his insistence of hatred for Omegas and love for Alphas.
I don't think MC derserves nearly as much criticism as hes getting tbf, but ML definitely shouldn't of been all anti-omega.
Everyone's totally forgetting that MC is a minor and assumes he'll be an Alpha since its rare to be otherwise, turns 18 and whoops hes an Omega, oh no his partner hates omegas + hes a rare male omega who JUST turned 18 and already is a self conscious teen. Like, be fr he doesn't have the insite half of us do, yeah we all knew he'd be an Omega bc we know the tropes and charatistics of one, he doesn't, he didn't.
Yes, I know that male alphas are the default. In spite of that, it was glaringly obvious he would turn out to be an omega. Every single character who met him said so. If male omegas were incredibly scarce, then why were they all so convinced? Because the author was trying to highlight how special and pretty the MC is, so much that all the other characters could recognise it. All "wow he's a rare male omega, more cuter than anyone else, more remarkable than the female omegas". It's a common writing choice in bl.
this started out good but then decided to take a cliff dive in quality. The amount of braincells I lost, by god ಠ_ಠ why the hell were the mc and ml all "you're totes going to be an alpha!" when everyone and their grandma could tell that the mc was going to be an omega? it was so predictable that I actually thought they would make him an alpha just to subvert the expectations. everyone's ragging on the mc, and I agree, but the ml could've just said "it doesn't matter if you're omega or alpha. I'll like you either way" instead of constantly going "I hate omegas" "I like alphas".
