I was reading the novel and Karas kills so many innocent people, women and even children that he's not longer attractive to me. He kills his own soldiers, innocent bystanders and his own subjects. I don't understand why Abel isn't completely disgusted by him really. He's a monster and honestly he's just as much of a villain as king's heart. He would literally kill babies if Abel didn't intervene. And for no purpose at all, just because he wants to.

Wait but I haven't seen any of this is the manhua right now? Does this happen later? I hope it's still fluffy in the version their being represented then... Cause then it would get dark so fast and rn the vibe is comedy cuteness

That's the way it is written in the novel. And for some reason the people under him barely react even tho they r supposedly good people. They don't care who karas kills out of pretty much boredom as long as they can defeat the king's heart. How can they think that karas as an emperor would be a good idea is beyond me. He would probably be even a worst ruler than king's heart. Like it's genuinely disgusting how little people react to literal child murder taking place in front of their eyes.

I look at as, they killed his conscience, the one thing the kept him human. So I was expecting that. He wasn't like his father and insisted of them trying to find a new way of controlling him they just followed the procedure; which created a heartless monster.

It does have comedic tone many times because like I said, despite all the horrible shot that happens, characters in the novel just gloss over it and don't have an appropriate reaction at all.
