Exactly. I’m not trying to defend the Queen or anything... but he’s such a piece of garbage. If he can’t love her, the least he could do is show some respect. And to make it worse, later in the story, he even tries to kill Joffrey. If it weren’t for the ML, Joffrey wouldn’t have survived.

I don't care what anyone says, but the real piece of shit is the king. While I'm not denying his right to love someone he wants, he should at least treat the queen and his son better. He literally brought her from a foreign country for his own gain. She came at a young age with no family, no friends, no utter support from anyone only to gain a husband that feels disdain for her. No wonder she became this twisted. She's only trying to protect herself and her son.
