First of .. I'm just thinking why doesn't the detective just ask mustache guy ,what actually happened to the murder case he failed before? And who's the actual culprit?? Like girllll his close enough that mustache guy tried to help him get back on the field
And about the seme how would he know about what happened to the murder case the detective failed? IF he only read it in newspaper... Like if it's on newspaper the detective should have read it too right? ... So it means the seme might have some source where he got the information from..
