COMMON???? Those two are extremely UNcommon parings, what?! They’ve only recently started becoming more prevalent—the point of alpha x alpha pairings is BECAUSE of how unpredicted of a paring it is in the verse. The pheromones, the heat cycles, the genetic possessiveness that both parties would have over each other is what attracts people to write about it (and also because of how little rxpe and or baby trapping is used as a plot device when compared to omega x alpha parings.)

I’d even argue having a beta x anything is the MOST uncommon pairing to even be written about in bl, let alone have a main story. Just because it’s being used more recently doesn’t mean it’s so common.

There are plenty of alpha x omega stories with no SA, and I have read alpha x alpha stories with SA too so there's no guarantee about anything. I have read many beta x alpha stories too. Just because you haven't found them, it doesn't mean they don't exist??

I genuinely don’t see the point of omegaverse outside of giving us cute babies/breeding kink and family content through alpha x omega. Honestly tho, I prefer omegaverse in a futuristic setting where such evolution is needed. Alphas with strong enough physique to operate mechas and omegas with strong enough reproductive capabilities to give birth to more alpha and omegas... it kinda makes more sense but its more common in Chinese bl novels than in comics. Kinda how guideXpsych makes more sense in modern dungeons stories than omegaverse in it.
