Yeah but when he was young it was more of like how young animals teeth on you mindlessly when being reactive. Now he’s gone through puberty and (as you’re about to see in upcoming chapters) he’s going to finally experience (unknowingly) sexual attraction, which is more in line with his obsession/possessive habits towards Abel.
I agree, thats why I find this reference funny. I was saying "same habit" as he is still very possessive as you say, but now it has a different meaning. Karas is no more a cub but a thirsty wolf in the making lol
