So here is my perception of it.... Congressman Jang (the guy MC killed) obviously ordered the death of MC parents and even tried to kill MC with them. ML, at least what we have seen thus far was ordered to kill MC and parents but chose not to report MC. .... given how the MC has been manipulated, offered a gun and told to kill and be used by a gang at a young age bc of the congressman. It's safe to assume that the congressman has been manipulating others for a long time, this could include the ML as it seems he was also younger at the time and said " i had no other choice, i had to do whatever it took to get what I wanted"" back then, I thought it was the only way to survive" we obviously don't know ML backstory, but there is a possibility that he was also in a tough situation as a teenager? And just wanted to survive even if it ment being used by bad ppl, like the congressman... it could also potentially mean that when ML found the boy MC it could have been somesort of a turning point for him and thus he choose not to report MC. But technically he is still in the bad side of society so still is in the gang, and when he met MC again wants to protect him ? ... I'm not saying killing is good, but manipulating others can bring out the worst in ppl. Ultimately the mastermind was the congressman and ML could be the puppet during that time.ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~
