You constructed your sentence wrong but I do get your point. Dark romance involves lots of heavy stuff to take on and they HAVE WARNINGS. I don't get people who doesn't like that genre and reads it and then complain.
Like wtf? I know we have freedom of what to do but if you do that, READ AT YOUR OWN RISK. Tbh, it's just ridiculous seeing lot of complaints in a good, crispy dark romance manhwa. Like, stop reading if you think it's shitty or if you think that's too much. It's clearly not cup of your fucking tea.
Yknow? It's dark romance for a reason. There gotta bi killings, and abusing and grapey stuff and kidnapping whatsoever. Dark romance is Dark Romance. You can't expect a smooth, giggly, rainbows and flowers if the genre is dark romance. It's supposed to be traumatizing. It's made like that.
Well, I guess, it's some authors' fault too without putting that kind of genre on their book and only label it as drama or thriller, idk.
I think it's usually because people go into a plot that seems interesting and hope that "this time it will be different and there won't be any rape" only to be disappointed AGAIN. Because yes it is to be expected if the plot is dark (even though I believe that a story can be dark without including it), but rape is literally everywhere. I mean even in some of my favorite stories that were mostly wholesome there was some kind of non-con. I personally spoil myself in the comments before I read anything so that I know what to expect (or can decide to avoid reading) but I can understand other people who complain.
Either that or people already know there will be rape but read it still for the plot, and complain because the relationship and story would be much better without that.
It makes no sense lol. Stop ruining it for the rest of us.
