I don't know how you're invested in the story but can't read a few lines that's a part of that so called story. It's a feel good chill webtoon where there's more focus on the characters (and their growth) rather than a thrilling plot. Their character/character growth is the chunk of the story/plot, and you'll see that character growth in their witty remarks, idk how you're invested in the story but not the characters.
I agree with you on this, I usually skip those talks if i feel that they started rambling and it doesnt seem relevant or important, i might be just getting old idk
I get you, this kind of dialogue is normal in the slice-of-life series, where nothing really happens, but the dialogue tends to be witty and funny. sometimes I get bored but they're so cute that I keep going and they make me smile from ear to ear... sometimes we just lose interest in some stories and it's ok.
the dialogues are witty and funny and very much relevant since the webtoon is a slice of life, so every dialogue made the story much more fun. it's pretty sad if you can't even brained that little lines of dialogue. it's not even an essay.
In what world did I say im not invested in the characters!! I’m talking about the unnecessary long dialogue. They mention stuff that don’t relate to the story or even serve the plot later on in any way, I understand its genre as slice of life but i’ve read many slice of life before so I’m familiar with what’s normal and what’s not. It’s is my own opinion you don’t have to understand it
Maybe that’s not my thing but i feel like they’re yapping too much in the text bubbles!!!! ik they’re teens and young but i just can’t anymore the dialogue seems so irrelevant at a lot of times that i lose focus 3 times in chapter and i have to reread many parts again so eventually i got bored. It feels like i have to really push myself through the chapter to finish it and know what will happen which is sad bc i was so invested in the story but it got boring bc of the writing
