Nothing worse than an art style so drastically different that it looks like entirely different characters. They were so beautiful. Now, one dimensional & boring looking. I wish I hadn't reread it from the beginning. It had been so long since I read it, I'd forgotten most of what happened. How they looked wasn't fresh in my mind. But, I did reread it. And, now, it's blatantly obvious how disappointing the art is compared to before. Even if you get a new artist, why can't they stay true to the original style? Readers have developed an emotional connection to the characters & it can't be rekindled because they are two completely different people. My heart breaks to bid fairwell to that stunningly handsome Duke.
His beautiful glistening scales now look like they were drawn on with a crayon. I'm trying to move passed this art change so I can enjoy the story, but it's not possible.
