Author clearly want Joo-rim to "sacrifice" himself and his entire life and take such a "heavy" burden as to caring for someone else's child and give up on his individual damn life (not going to mention happiness I don't want others to lecture me about the definition of HAPPINESS).....
(Honestly happiness is subjective to each individuals, but Joo-rim has nothing called an individual life .. he according to the plot gotta take the "HEAVY" burden of a somebody else's child. ..... )
It’s weird you’re taking a FANTASY WEBCOMIC and trying to apply it to real life. Obviously this comic isn’t accurate to any portrayal of children and it’s not going to focus on the side characters WHICH IS HER DAD AND FRIENDS!!
Any romance to be had is obviously going to be second to the main character WHO IS A CHILD!!
I don’t know how you read the first chapter and got mad that the story revolves around the child when the story directly tells you it’s about childcare, first and foremost. You literally saw a baby and expected her to the side character in her own story, just so you can slobber over her dad getting married because that’s apparently what the synopsis and cover art told you would happen??
Also erasing his own personal character and growth in this quest to demonize this webcomic is crazyyyy. He specifically chose to adopt her because he wanted to give her a better life than he did which comes with sacrifices that he knew he had to take, as well as the fact that he doesn’t want to get married anyways! You’re acting like he had a fiancée when in reality he’s heavily traumatized from losing all of his close friends in a dungeon plus having an abusive family.
If you’re that mad that he chose to adopt someone else’s child, something you obviously view negatively, maybe don’t read adoption centered stories because OBVIOUSLY ITS ABOUT A CHILD BEING THE FOCAL POINT AND NOT THE DAMN DAD.
Read a romance story and stop trying to send hate to a child care comics just because it wasn’t what you expected.
This isn’t real life, it’s a comic, saying “it’s his own damn life,” doesn’t make sense because he’s a FICTIONAL CHARACTER SO IT DONT EVEN MATTERRRR MY GOD
Someone said the story hasn't even begun yet..
So I mtl'ed and read Korean commenters..
And, most koreans too agree with this fact that this mangwa has kind of projected the dark side of those obsessive Kpop fans .....
And, honestly I can't care less about comments passed by stans who see nothing other than cuteness ..
The MC apologists cringe me out
It matters a lot .
Your logic has many holes..
Do the MCs never recover from their trauma???
The novel has this tag- "ROMANCE".. so I'm pretty sure I'm not in the wrong place.
I pretty much can't care about the child I'm not an MC apologists..
I do not hate her either..
But, is my point wrong???
Isn't it a very same plot - the saintly pure tragic father obsessed with his daughter???
I would be creeped out honestly.
The author pretty much desires to cover the MC with plot Armour that's Pure and strong at the same time...
I simply pointed out what's wrong with the authors over using the same generic plot...
I thought you were a troll not bc of your preference bc idgaf what u think. Nothing wrong about liking different genres. But it’s simple: Don’t like it? Drop it. If u really hated it, then comment your thoughts once, leave a low-star review, then drop it. But you keep coming back and commenting the same things again, ruining the experience for recent readers. At this point, all I can conclude is rather than making a point or expressing your opinion, you’re just commenting to piss people off. A troll.
What on you on dude? It’s pretty clearly demonstrated he doesn’t have a love life and he isn’t interested in having a love life. He adopted her because its too dangerous for an S-rank kid to just be running around. He literally did it out of his own volition. You act like he got baby trapped with someone else’s kid. Plus, he’s pretty happy living with the MC. It doesn’t take that much reading comprehension skills to understand the plot of this story. Honestly we should just ban men from reading manhwas they always gotta ruin it.
Oh, so we’re just out here pretending that fathers in childcare manhwa don’t deserve happiness now? Writers are so obsessed with making the ML and FL get their perfect fairy-tale ending while the father—who literally raised the MC, sacrificed everything, and probably suffered the most—just sits there like a background prop, smiling through his pain. What kind of lazy storytelling is this?
These authors act like once a man becomes a father, his personal life is over. He gets to live vicariously through his daughter’s happiness while he rots away alone. Why? Because God forbid a man over 30 finds love in these stories, right? The double standards are ridiculous. If the father has any romantic subplot, it’s either killed off, ignored, or turned into a tragic backstory. Meanwhile, the ML and FL get the cheesiest, most drawn-out romance arcs known to man.
And let’s be real—some of these fathers are way more interesting than the so-called "perfect MLs" who just exist to be handsome and rich. But no, the genre thrives on turning them into selfless, suffering saints who don’t even get a sliver of happiness for themselves. Just watching their kid be happy is supposed to be enough? What a joke.
So yeah, next time an author thinks of writing yet another father who raises the MC like a single dad champion, at least have the decency to give him a love story too. He’s not just a side character in his own damn life.
And, those who downvoted me earlier you guys are no less than those creepy Kpop fans who were their shorts listening that their idols got into a real relationship..
