To be fair, I don't think he had time to hide it; it looks like he was about to put it back in. I knew he had all the rings but I didn't expect them all to still be in the boxes. I would be surprised if JJ has been carrying his in a box because he doesn't have that kind of pocket space without it being obvious.
It's not going to be the romantic event either of them wanted. JJ is more upset that he feels he wasted time not getting on with it (because he had to tell them he was just his boyfriend.) I hope he doesn't misinterpret the bag full of rings because he should know his boy is extra. Leo's proposal ring looks more like him and I don't see JJ being able to wear it all the time like he would be able to do with the one he bought Leo.
The author might be setting us up for a fallout but they just need to talk to know they were both on the same page. I still want one of them to complain they wanted to propose first.
