Wait I was over here feeling sympathetic because the reason behind his actions were fair and understandable. Not inly would he have been in danger but also Luci. So im confused…. Would u mind breaking down why you feel that way?
In my opinion, he was not a good father for leaving his daughter to fend for herself. He seemed so consumed by his own sorrow that he forgot about his daughter, who was also suffering just as much, if not more. I genuinely believe that he meant well, but he was too much of a coward to take action.
personally for me, nothing can trump the fact he killed himself without a second thought for his daughter. IN FRONT OF HIS DAUGHTER. i understand his reasoning but everything he’s done has always been for himself and not those he supposedly loves. he watched as lucifella was humiliated, shamed and essentially socially executed. he didn’t support her at all, even in this instance, rather than explaining things to lucifella and letting her know even the smallest of details as to why he was being such a beggar to the Idris family, he let her suffer with her own thoughts and take matters regarding them into her own hands. all she needed was someone to listen to her, and he couldn’t give her that. Her father as she stated could hardly look at her, she is aware that her father can hardly look at her because she reminds him of her mother, the fact that his child knows that shows he’s been doing that for years, leaving those scars for years. yes he has every right to mourn his loss, but he should’ve put his daughters happiness and safety over his sorrow after some point.
