I'm not sure where you're getting this from?? The last chapter was the ml point of view not the mc. The is stubborn (that word doesn't feel right but I can't think of anything else) and only see things his way so it's no surprise he actually believes the mc came to love him in the end, I'm not sure if that actually is the case since the last time we saw the mc pov was when he tried to kill himself
