I think you're doing too much into reading this. His heat started, thats alrd a reason clouding his mind. He may also not be the brightest of mind, thats why he had to take advantage of 'time' to think and sort out his thoughts. At that particular scene where he genuinely chose Haruto was just to show us readers his resolution. It's not that deep tbf and it all ends well doesnt it?
Take a step back to breathe, the only reason you're overly mad at the characters is simply because you know itd be different if it was you, but thats the issue, the characters arent you. Also the difference in value is very visible between the two of them and shishikura was ngl still needed more time to come to terms with it. Either way, again, every plot that led to now ends well doesnt it?
Honestly I know it's not that deep and stuff, but even knowing most of what happened was for trope purposes (the sudden heat, the almost SA but then he's saved, etc) it just made me really angry how it was so illogical It's not that I was thinking "if it were me I wouldn't do that", but just trying to apply logic if it were a real situation... but tbf this IS a BL, and things mostly happen the way they do to move the plot along, so I can't really expect the most logical thorough planning all of the time ╮(￣▽￣)╭
But oh well, the situation just really got on my nerves so I wanted to put it out there... though I have to admit after rereading I did make my comment sound unnecessarily angry, sorry about that

Okay but the new chapters really made me mad. Couldn't Shishikura just call Kotani back instead of actually going to a hotel with this rando who has been trying to get in his pants??? not to victim blame but that was pretty stupid on his part
And the fact Shishikura ACTUALLY stopped to think about that guy's proposal. You have to be shitting me. "Peace of mind" my ass, that's a whole ass criminal right there. It's so weird that Shishikura "choosing" Haruto is framed like he actually chose him right there, when there should have never been another option. Who tf marries a guy they knew for less than 24h after they tried to assault you 1 MINUTE ago.
Dude also said "choosing to be with someone who ignores your feelings" as if Shishikura wouldn't be ignoring Kotani's feelings too if he kept pushing for them to get married??? Like be so fr. Wtf is going on here. Why are they acting like compromising on a common law marriage would be a bad thing?? Settling on a compromise is literally the most sensible course of action when the two of them wanted such different things Acting like getting married is the knly sensible outcome is kinda wack ngl
