Question! Are his arms tattooed or rotten?

I wouldn't say it is rotten, his palm has a normal colour and his nail are intact. If you want (if you sensitive then better not), you can look up frostbites for example, or how does diabetic foot look like, you will notice that rotten/dead skin take whole (in those cases, foot or hand starting from toes/fingers) part, not just some of them. But if he's tattooed? No clue, I thought it was more like camouflage think or covering your smells or something.

I noticed the palm being a different color too but didn't give it much thought, thanks; The camouflage sounds more fitting.
