Tell me why should I read it? What is the hype about?

The novel, while lacking for an actual book, is incredibly well thought out and entertaining for a webnovel; I'm a huge fan of worldbuilding in general but this donghua doesn't really go into it all that well, I think the novels tone was a bit more gritty and serious, if you can grit your teeth and get past 100 or so chapters(they're incredibly short, fraction of a book chapter) I'd read the novel instead
