after reviewing the novel spoilers, all i’ll say is this. regarding og ophelia, fl and fleur, i believe that the case the author is trying to present is that they are victims of circumstance, and while in these circumstances they make different decisions.

we know og ophelia was not a good person, but we also know she was consumed with grief after her fathers death and basically succumbed to all emotions, big or small, under black magic, leaving her unable to not be violent and “deranged.” even the fl in ophelia’s body is unable to fight the urge to hurt others when confronted.

fleur was raised to be spoiled and had it all taken away. she desires what she had as a child and used any means (marrying her husband, getting with the prince, appealing to nobility) to maintain that prestige. she has now gotten a taste and losing sight of logic in order to grow that power.

fl is interesting to me. i find her to be emotionally stunted in a lot of ways since being ill and bedridden means you don’t have the opportunity to interact with others. she’s awkward and desires to have someone who believes in her and doesn’t dismiss her as a villain at first glance. she isn’t morally upstanding and is willing to do whatever it takes, even taking fleurs role in the novel to achieve her goal. she is perceptive enough to find out fleurs true nature after only a few meeting but doesn’t view her as an enemy as much as an equal player. she is also slowly developing her own real personality with her new body through her interactions with sylvester which i find cute.

sure sometimes the writings off in rofan manhwas like this but the art is great and the characters are compelling. you may find the fl dumb but i'm happy she’s learning and growing and not just following the novel to have things fall in her hand. i also like how they delved into each of the women, since they aren’t good or bad, just human.
