Literally I’m actually dropping this bc it’s so frustrating to read like 6 chapters only for it to go on hiatus AGAIN. I mean dear god it literally went on hiatus for a yr just give up there’s literally no point in trying to continue this manwha. At least come back to it when u actually have time ykwim instead of going on a break every 3wks. This feels like how WEBTOON artists used to go on hiatus every other month bc their body was literally falling off the bone (according to them at least).
Like oop sorry guys im going on hiatus bc I have a really bad cold and actually I was just in the hospital. Ik it sucks bc last month I was also in the hospital bc I broke my wrist. But rlly my body is just so chronically weak and sick so I have to leave for half a yr
ik its frustrating but author probably cant help it. the art is rlly detailed so it probably takes a lot of time and effort to make a single episode. manhwa artists are paid very less and its probably tough to hire others to help. most ppl read for free illegally and then complain and get mad at the artist. like maybe if yall bothered to read officially and pay the artist their dues then you have the right to complain.
For a manwha of this stature they def have at least a small team of editors. That’s how most pay-for mangas work, so that the quality and uploads are consistent. Plus they usually have at least a few chapters already completed before they start a new season so that they’re never behind. During a break between seasons the author is SUPPOSED to storyboard the next season and complete some chapters (and take a break obvi) so that they’re ahead of the schedule. At this point the author has been on hiatus longer than they’ve been uploading chapters. They CANNOT write/ draw this if they have to CONSTANTLY drop off uploading for hiatuses. Thats not even me being mean it’s the truth. I think they’d be better as an editor at least for now. I don’t think they can handle a manwha’s workload.
i dont think you get to make decisions who should be an author or not as an illegal reader lol. i dont know how big their team is but i m pretty sure they are not making enough. being a manhwa artist itself is unsustainable unless you are the top and you profit of merch and other means. also this is the authors regular hiatus i dont know if u read the notice but the author has announced they will take a hiatus every five chapter or sth.
Also I think the plot/ story was really good in the first half of season 1. It was really exciting reading each chapter, but now…with all the breaks and the new style and the way the story is written seems kinda…lazy?? Saying that this is good bc all the other mangas are horseshit isn’t a compliment. Thats like saying food that tastes bad is good bc it’s better than expired food. You shouldn’t have to pick the lesser of two evils especially when this wasn’t even “evil” to begin with. Viktor has been baby-fied and his only characteristics are weak, scared traumatized man child who relies HEAVILY on ppl (yes that was always the case but at least that wasn’t all he was summed up to be before). He was vulnerable w ppl he trusted, competent, strong willed, capable of thinking and fierce/ TERRIFYING w everyone else but now it seems like he’s kinda weak… to just anybody.
I’m not saying they can’t make mangas. I have no say in the matter I’m simply just stating my opinion. I don’t think they’re good at being consistent. I’ve been reading this manga for like 2yrs now and there have been 10+ hiatuses not even including that one yr long hiatus. I think this might be too hard for them and they need to try something else. There are many solo indie manga artists that only upload 1 regular chapter per month. I think that would work better for them.
i still love this story i dont know why ppl are complaining compared to the bl landscape nowadays this is one of the much better ones. the art is great there is an actual plot and suspense and its not predictable. characters are not caricatures and they are interesting and have good development. i am invested. i do wish it was faster but its overall top notch.
