Divorce doesn't exist?

I get that he has trauma but you know your mother could have divorced? Even if the uke cheats on you,or you cheat on him you can just divorce? Let alone if it was your father that was the problem do you think you are going to do the same thing to uke someday like whats the issue here?

    i don’t think getting a divorce is as easy as breaking up… when you get married, you literally get the government to recognize your relationship, you genuinely intend to spend the rest of your lifetime with them and you’re tied to them by law and everything. just breaking up can cause trauma for some people, let alone marriage where it’s taken more seriously…

    even after getting divorced, it’s not like everything will get resolved immediately. the trauma will stay. putting aside the possibility of him repeating the abuse his mom experienced, kotani is a serious person and he clearly loves shishikura and wants to treat him well. he can’t possibly just marry him for the sake of it and then divorce him as easily, that would be extremely shallow
