No, it's just going back in time, or more like first life was the events of the "novel" our main character thought he read. Then Huimin (MC) died and male lead wanted to start over so they lived their life as friends (the one life our MC remembers living) and then somehow they went back to the original time line where he is Huimin. Basically every Huimin is him, it's just that he doesn't remember living that life.

Both of them are the same. Its like 3 timelines, one is og(the novel), second is them being friends and last is this rn. MC doesnt remember but ML remembers every timeline.

MC wrote his dream life in their first timeline so in second timeline, it was in MC's pov and nothing move, everything is still unless the MC is involved in the scene.

But thats all ik i could be missing a few things here cus i read it from another detailed comment too.

Thanks it’s was getting really confusing cause I haven’t read the novel yet but I have the pdf (I think) but I sort of had an idea that it was three time lines I just didn’t know in what form those three times lines were it was getting confusing but thank you for explaining this

I think you are right cause it was Huimin who kept thinking he was in the novel but it never went to any kind of backstory that shows the last thing he was doing before teleporting into the novel as he thinks , I was suspicious but I guess , will it end like Huimin hallucinating this whole thing cause of a truma response wait no way!! ヽ(｡◕o◕｡)ﾉ.
