Not taking away from anything you’ve said, but I think that’s what makes Roses and Champagne good (in the worst way possible), because it’s showing the more raw side of toxicity; where there are only a few good moments and sometimes Caesar seems like he can be a good person but he’s just rotten with his lover having obvious Stockholm Syndrome.
In that regard, it’s kind of brilliant.
I used to love the premise, but after that shit Caesar salad pulled at the train station it went downhill. Sure, if I ignore all that bad stuff I can enjoy it and it has some funny parts. I know this is not a story full of fluff, but still, such a bummer when it comes to their relationship development.
