Rereading for the nth time, this just goes so hard, the inner monologues, the dialogue between them, specially the 4th chapter, the sheer angst of being always wrong and helpless and an outcast, the desire to die and end that suffering but not having the guts to let go of that one thing that can touch you. The way Kid feels empathy for the first time, the way he can see Law's true feelings for the first time. The way the author managed to make these two characters, who would normally be perceived as despicable, so pitiful and pathetic. The way they have nothing but this other person who can somehow make them feel better about being horrible. Everything is so twisted to suit their abnormally that it falls perfectly into place...
