Goddamn it. I’m so fucking over this rape trope. The fact that it’s this popular in media targeted toward women anyway is so messed up. Like is so normalised. This is so disappointing. Worst part is they’ll also normalise the bottom forgiving the top later on like ‘oh he was mad and it was a slip up’. No babe. That wasn’t mad that was assault and a crime and traumatic and you shouldn’t have to minimize that experience for the sake of a romance.
Fact is that if you love someone you don’t do this shit. Regardless of your emotions, you are responsible for your actions and if you can choose to not assault a coworker or punch someone on the street you can choose to also not rape your partner.
This shit fr makes me so frustrated. Could have been a good story but author ruined it.
I know people will be like ‘omg it’s fiction, get over it’ but my issue is that it is so common as a trope in fiction and it’s so toxic and heavily indoctrinated.
We can have drama without rape. Like it’s not hard to do.
