haven’t read the raws in a while tho so this is js what i rmb - my opinion would’ve been for the uke to live on w no s/o (cs prince a lil cray cray) and js in peace with his own freedom but yk how these stories go

yea pretty cliche ending
not justifying the hunters actions but he does actually realise how wrong he is once the prince shows up again to take uke away incase anyone was wondering if this is how it plays out
