Yall, character development does not happen overnight. You can see it from his thoughts, and the fact that he's so manically obsessed with his champion title that he doesn't remember his misdeeds. This is just the beginning of his character development. He just experienced rejection.

I don't know, but by now, it should have been a cute story where that stone-headed idiot falls so deep in love that he is practically blushing and drooling at the sight of Kim Dan.
