You don't need an understanding of history and finances to enjoy this story.
You don't even really need to think hard. Nothing discussed so far has required any real thinking, mostly just common sense.
This story fails because of several factors
1. It is structured like a summary. There is no real depth. It just moves from scene to scene. Point A to Point B. This type of story telling is boring and does not engage the reader.
2. The art is not good nor bad. It's bland. This instantly brings down the rating as well as ruins the reader's experience. Especially with a bland plot.
3. Whether it is due to the translator or the dialogues and descriptions were really like this in the original Korean raws, but most of it does not flow smoothly from scene to scene. They are choppy and often assume the reader knows certain details and so leaves them out. Other times, it is disconnected.
4. The comic does not manage "sense of time" well. It's a speed run of the plot basically and reading it feels like you are rushing. There is no story building nor world immersion.
5. Bland characters. Not even 20 chapters yet and we have been introduced to over 20+ named characters that have 0 impact on the story line progression. MC is set up to be the only intelligent person. We don't even get a colorful array of side characters. Most successful comics feature at least 1 or 2 memorable side characters.
6. Grandson of Sunyang executes this genre much better.
Okay everyone said this is good so why the rating is this low? ╥﹏╥
