As someone who binge-read this, I agree.
Tbh, I wasn't really expecting much about this one. The amount of smut is insane, so I thought it will be just another typical no-brainer yaoi, but NO... the writer actually gave depth to MC and ML's characters and their relationship in general. I was pleasantly surprised. :>
I don't really like this type of smut. It even took them 30 (?) chapters before kissing each other lol T.T ngl ML pissed me so much, he's a top tier asshole┗( T﹏T )┛. Well, there are even worse homophobes IRL. Anyway, seeing his character growth was satisfying!
This story has the best character development I've read in a while. I like how both ML and MC have flaws and manage to grow individually in each chapter as they grapple with their struggles without going OOC. I like how they slowly learn to be open and communicate so they can understand each other better. I also like how their characters feel raw and real, neither of them are perfect and they have flaws, both them acknowledges that, and actually DOES something about it. In short, this deserves more recognition.
