Exactly, the mc is just a normal guy going through some trauma backlash at most
thing is i dont mind insane ML if the MC is also insane, but this MC is honestly pretty plain in personality and relatively normal other than some trauma, so rather than shipping them it feels like im watching a horror movie with bad stockholm syndrome...
