Damn I think I’ve come realise once again what low tide at twilight meant….thats such an acute detail from the author, wonder how they came to piece things together like this

Can you please elaborate? I didn't get it.

It’s basically just how the sea and the sky (the colour of it) merges in that condition (twilight- there’s 3 phases to it) to the point where you can’t tell where the sea line and sky starts/ends, he’s saying that their love for each other is just like how the sky and sea seems to merge at twilight, that there is no end or beginning where it’s either completely dark or light (in the physical sense I assume) either one.

*3 phases of twilight, depending on where the sun starts( sunset or sunrise), here the sun is setting, so it was at its highest peak*

A low tide doesn’t exactly stand out, it’s calm and serene, mc says he loves the sea, and u can tell he’s at peace with himself now, and he says it’s because of the ml (I forgot his name), because he knows the ml loves him. You can assume that the low tide can either mean either individuals, namely the mc, or their situation, that’s it’s calmed down, that they're in tune with each other, they’re more understanding and aren’t as restless as thrashing waves/tides, they’re comfortable and content basically.

You can also assume that due to the wording of twilight (again, assume it’s one of the 3 phases of twilight), that the author meant that either one brings in the light (sun) (this is at its highest peak, the sun) and creates quite a beautiful image with the sea, as you can see in the last few panels of the manhwa, it’s quite memorable, the sun shines it self on mc, perhaps it made him feel warm/comforted, and it creates these beautiful colours in the sky which reflect on the sea…perhaps the author means that the effect of their love for each is reflected on the other person, and vice versa, just as the sun and its colours it creates is reflected in the sea…vice versa(?)

And you’ll see the gradual movement of the sun going down, it’s perhaps in acceptance of their love for one another, the good and bad, the wounds and comfort, the sun which may either symbolise ether individual or the feeling of love being accepted descends down, almost as it’s being taken by the sea (not in a bad way…), perhaps it’s them accepting their toxic past/love for each other, or even them as individuals with a shared past to each other.

Then there’s darkness (the 3rd phase), in the absence of the sun, the sea consumes the sky, to the point where it looks just pitch black…the sky and the sea finally merges, at twilight.

It’s a detailed and cute way of saying that their love for each is not only mutual, but that there is no extent where you can pin point which ever one loves the other more, just as he says he sees that he’s loved by ml, just as much as mc loves ml, its a love that completely takes over, where there is no end and there is no other possibility…and perhaps you can say that it’s great/large feeling, since the sky and sea is quite vast, perhaps he also sees that their love for each is just as vast/great as the sky/sea…

I’m sure there’s a lot more, not exactly sure I’ve got everything here, as I keep coming back to remember but if u compare what I’ve said to the last few panels of the main story, his dialogue and the sea and the position of the sun in the sky, you can basically see what I mean…I hope.

Sorry ik it’s alot, more annotations just kept coming up, but it all ties in together tbh. Hope this helps friend :)

I like stories where authors give u a little puzzle/metaphors here and there.

Taken by the sea -> embraced by the sea*. nuances are important ;)

Omg that's a great analysis! You're so wise
I couldn’t think about the analogy in this light. The perspective really makes sense. Even though the 3rd phase is making me really sad. I felt that thing for Euihyun. I felt he accepted Taeju but taeju's feelings wasn't reciprocated entirely . Maybe for the experience he went through it was best at that way.
Thank you so much for your great piece of mind.

Awww thank you the praise is too much that was just me rambling. I was a confused when I first read it months ago…

I agree with you too, the third phase also made me feel quite somber, for me it was esp when I saw it the last few panels, it was a realisation that it was the end of their story, all that drama and hurt is in past, they’ve come to embrace one another. still we were there to read about it all, as a reader anyway that’s how I feel.

Third phase felt like the closing of the curtains to me, I think that’s a better way of saying it.

I also did think about Taejus feelings, I was wondering how he’d move on from their past, things he’s done, because I, for sure can’t get past that once scene where he put Euihyun in a risky position, basically almost making him sell himself…

It’s quite complicated, I think he’d forever have to live with that guilt forever, but how do you make sure that you don’t let that guilt consume you one day? How do you not let it affect your relationship? How can you be sure that you are allowed to bury this memory? Can you even do that? How can you be entirely sure that this person is okay? Basically the doubt that he may feel, if he truly deserves happiness, is what I assume he may feel from time to time, I wonder if the author sees himself that way anyway, perhaps the author has made them fully healed in the future…idk

There’s also Euihyun who acknowledges that he was messed up by Taeju, but still wants him, that’s strong but truly you can’t really control emotions, love in particular is quite cruel, sometimes you want what you can’t have and sometimes you want what you shouldn’t have but they both grew.

I also felt that Euihyun didn’t quite acknowledge Taejus feelings however it was done on purpose, because yeah?? How exactly can you want the very person that caused you sm stress, but he did, and I think that he did somehow understand how Taeju felt, but didn’t want it to matter, almost that it’s his way to show that he only wants Taejus love, and nothing less and nothing more.

I think he just wanted to be loved by Taeju, he doesn’t mean to ignore or not acknowledge this elephant in the room, it’s just he doesn’t care or want to let it bother him, making sure it doesn’t get in the way of their love for each other, simply because he’s assured that Taeju is now a different man and because he himself feels special in his eyes, and wants to keep that.

Yeah, emotions that you can’t get rid of are quite scary.
