Honestly the only thing that the backstory did was make me feel bad for the first wife and kids. Yeah I understand why the egg was so scared to hatch now but I hope that just gives them reason to keep the baby instead of sending it back to the bird people

Yeah I try not to relate how people react to fiction work or what they say about characters to real life situations.. As it obviously isn’t real. But I think it’s evil when you wish bad on a character that is a child or a victim of some sort
I was thinking the same thing specially with how martheba said he would "do anything for the child to be born and live freely witout any restrictions"
considering they pass down all the responsabilities to the youngest and clearly no one is going to benefit from the child going back to the winged tribe

I usually don't take fiction too seriously but seriously this legit made me feel bad. Like I GET it's fake and stuff but it's still a fictional representation of an a baby and I have basic human empathy.
yep some comments were unhinged then but just as you pointed out, we are all just finding out about the egg's backstory NOW. ppl just did what they were meant to while reading an ongoing story with updates occuring every two months at most: react impatiently. i'm sure everyone's enlightened now with the recent revelation of the egg and will be very protective of it just as they used to make fun of it. on my part i did took amusement to those previous egg comments and i will not say i regret it as it actually helped me learn a lesson again in that "everything will always have a reason". going forward i will definitely be wishing for the kid to grow up safely surrounded by love and will not be silent if it continues to be in danger. i really hope Caius and Kouichi can adopt it

Now that we know the egg's backstory and how sad and dark it is. I start remembering all the comments here of people wishing for the egg to die or be smashed and shit and it just feels awful. Like dayum even the people outside of the story we're throwing death threats at a fetus.
