It seems like they're saying it, not as in traditional assault, but a dishonor toward the integrity and sacredness of mating itself, and the term "assault" is being used to give a vulgar and immoral connotation. Like, "you're disrespecting this person for your own goals, even though you're being asked to do something that is so burdening?"
Let's get this straight. If she consents it's not an assault.
