Right.. all of those are ot of place.. He never even gave the duchy to Killian.. and the other one/ML slowly opened his eyes like all of those are not in the novel ..
Killian could rejected the title. All he cares about is Edith and their happiness. Maybe the next incident (something obviously is going to happen since Edith had a bad feeling) will either push him to take the duchy or completely rejected.
I LITERALLY CALLED IT. SERIOUSLY!!!! Of all the changes you could make from the novel, this is what they chose?? That's the worst possible path for both of them!!! Let them be at peace in their far away land!!
