There are subtle hints that his aide and the two mercenaries close to him are asking that question in their mind. However, the lady and the old man choose to trust him first. In their situation, traversing the unknown territory, there's no time for such arguments. Also, in the beginning while they're axing trees to clear the way, some hired mercenaries were grumbling why they're even there, Judging MC and looking down on him. But MC's actions reeled them in to trust his judgement, plus, they're mercenaries, they moved because they're hired. they could've ran away when they're fighting those demon trees, but MC'S tenacity rubbed them in a good way. It's not like no one questioned his motives and plans, the first three blokes who ran into the snake raised those thoughts into question and he also tried to encourage them to ran out of the forest but at that point most of them already felt like they owe their lives to MC.
The scenes had been flashy with all the actions happening in the last few chapters so it's easy to miss stuff that's not mentioned or highlighted.

I guess that kinda make sense, especially with the three people ran off because they lack of trust with the MC, alas they died. It could be good if they're safe and make some rumors spread until the MC come back successful. But oh well I still enjoy all the possibility. Thanks for the explanation btw
Idk how to describe it, the way MC keeps on giving them know-how just doesn't sit right with me, like why everyone ain't suspicious at all? Or did the MC already talked about the monsters and how to defeat them?
