Tbh I wouldn’t even compare the two. The author manages to keep the aspects of his personality that was interesting all while acknowledging his wrong doings and improving his personality for the better. I won’t say too much because I don’t want to spoil it, but this was one of the few instances where instead of the Male lead being like “oh sorry take me back, let me do something nice”, we actually got a proper understanding of what he did wrong, him trying to change, and what he will continue to do in the future. Again I’ll try not to spoil it, but his treatment of the MC in the later half of the story was very cute and endearing. He is whipped, and it goes beyond just lust or convince. I really enjoy their current dynamic and this is coming from someone who HATESSS majority of red flag tops.

yeah for sure better than him, it helps too that mc personality is not your typical mc. the critical point that flips the things in the story/characters is really well done, if you like drama you will enjoy it then
Yup, he's still a POS. For some reason people think he's had character development just because he's an "in love" POS now. He still forces stuff on Mokhwa without asking for his thoughts or consent, and all he ever thinks about is his own "struggles".

Me personally I would disagree with that, I think too many people believe character development means a complete 180 of the character. Some of these are just aspects of his personality but at the end of the day he's just trying to do good for Mokhwa. I also wanna point out that this is genre specific. Of course in a bubble I can see that point but I'm just stating for the standards of the genre his ONGOING character arc/development is better than most. With that in mind I don't think it should deter them from reading because there's even more heinous manwha male leads who don't even have a fraction of the development as Nakwon does. At the end of the day for a romance manwha I'm sure people are primarly worried about the romance between the two leads, not so much the interactions they have with side characters.
Does the ML remain a piece of shit throughout this manhwa? I don't know how he could possibly redeem himself...
