It's ok to ask. Actually its not me but my ex-boyfriend. He was diagnosed with autism first level of support and alexithymia, that condition affects his ability to recognize his and others feelings, express feelings with words as well. On daily basis he's unable to identify facial or emotional expressions but he does feel everything and too much. He is able to be affectionate and show that he cares through acts but unable to realize why he did it or was feeling that way. Sometimes he would be agonizing trying to manage or understand his own feelings. When living emotional moments, he would cry a lot and desperately because of it or end up denying his feelings and mistreating everyone around him severely (he's not violent like Ilay lol). It was excruciating to see his crises, very sad too...

I like Ilay and I can't help it because I can relate to him on how his unable to recognized and manage his feelings. Of course the plot makes it worse, and the r*ape thing even more.
But someone who's completely unaware of theirs and everyone else's feelings behavior is extremely accurately played by him. I'm impressed and excited to see him improving. Though the Ilay I know didn't improve much in 12 years of relationship.
