Ikr. Even from reading these chapters, I was like, how tf are you supposed to defend yourself from that? Insects are EVERYWHERE. In fact, I think living in a big community is worse than in small groups. The infection rate is fast and survivability rate after infection is zero.
They should rename this to “ everyone’s dead, except the mushroom and his boyfriend”. And humans in small communities suffer much more then those in the main bases. It was in the novel. Basically, if you’re not the MCs, your survival rate is 0,00001% if not less.

Oh no, I don't mean living in small groups can survive better. It's just that if your group died, everyone died at once. Living in big groups means seeing people die everyday and it really breaks you mentally. Seeing that big group getting smaller and smaller until all hope is lost...
Then you got that right. That’s how it went in the novel. All hope was lost, but not entirely… I don’t want to spoil it for you and ruin the experience…
I read the novel. This world has the worse survival rate in an apocalyptic setting that I have ever read. Imagine being reborn in this world… I would ☠ myself.
