Bitch it is literal history. Times when even children are attacked are exceedingly cruel and brutal, and are not the norm. The children are usually either left alone to die or run or taken and adopted by the soldiers to be raised as citizens of theirs. The modern example of brutality of this kind is the Japanese in WWII in their invasion of China, where they cut the legs of children and tortured everyone to death, and even then the Nazis thought they were too brutal.
