so basically iirc when Chase was first experiencing ruts as an extreme alpha, he refused to sleep with anybody to help alleviate the rut symptoms (which basically made the rut worse for him). Eventually he blacked out from the rut, and when he came to, Grayson told him that while he was in the rut he had sex with Grayson’s dog. This was a lie Grayson made to basically scare Chase into making sure he would deal with his ruts properly/seriously, but it also gave Chase a lifelong trauma over dogs in that even hearing a dog bark makes him black out
