I agree with you. People calling Dan stupid for initiating sex with Jaekyung seems to have missed the part where the guy is passively suicidal from severe depression and fatigue. At this point, Jaekyung mentioning the jinx just pushed him ever more slightly towards the edge. Dan already has no sense of self-worth, with his current condition, it's just gotten worse.
Also, massively agree with you too on how Mingwa is using the same formula as BJ Alex. That story was incredibly popular and possibly placed her on the map, so I don't blame her for using the same formula. Does it make her unoriginal? Yes, but then you have to say the same for all of the other toxic BLs out there that uses the same toxic storyline. Also, BJ Alex looks like stick figures compared to how Jinx is drawn, it's a massive improvement. I can forgive the recycling of story, since she more than made up for it in the art.

I think we are missing the point here. Although it’s most likely me reading too much into it.
This time around it’s more Dan TELLING Jaegeng to do it instead of just being manhandled out of nowhere. Dan has developed but in the wrong fucking direction. Poor guy is just handling his issues in a way that he thinks is the quickest out to a situation.
Granted yes this is sort of like bjAlex but you have to cut the author some slack. The toxic seme theme obviously follows a formula and given that it’s the same author of course there will be similarities. I wouldn’t even compare the two couples because as far as we know Alex was distant simply because he was scared to be loved. As was DG. Dan is trying to cope with loving a total asshole. Jaegeng unfortunately we haven’t gotten his emotional revelation scene yet so ╮(￣▽￣)╭
