Well, if you remember the previous life, Aeroc's mentality wasn't quite stable but no matter what he always had feelings for this arse and silent hope ... So I guess this life is this "hope's" fulfilment, kind of. At least that's how I see it, after all he was scared of that arse's actions (little of the man himself) but never despised him.
How is aeroc not traumatized by kloof and still bear to even be in the same room as him...
