I get you. Kinda one of the reasons I've stopped reading BL manhwas and mangas. A lot of the stories are shitty nowadays. Maybe if the rape/abuse makes sense in the story, like if it's psychological, etc., sure I can get by it. But a lot of them just have rape as something that normally happens b/w the couple and the bottom just lets it go. It's not good story and it's not right. Rape/non consensual sex isn't right. But yeah, as someone above has pointed out, it's a preference by a lot of people. These days I read more mlm in fics instead. They're more nuanced.
