someone explain this to me

i read a manga where the top was obsessed with the bottom for 20 years and later when they’re dating, revealed that he became a host to gain experience because the bottom was experienced. i legit dropped the manga because i can’t understand the concept of fucking other people when you were so in love with someone within that period. however, i reimagined it with the roles reversed. like if the bottom was obsessed with the top for 20 years and then decided to be a host to gain experience, somehow i’m not as mad. is this simply because it’s refreshing (#bottomsintopdominatedfields) or because i have some sort of untapped prejudice that needs to be addressed?

I think both the first and second part. I'm just saying. I might be wrong too. Some people see seme and uke as counterparts as male and female. Some forgive Uke for everything and some forgive Seme for everything. Ideally none of them are correct. It definitely has to do with you preferring one character over other due to their part in the relationship.
